The International Center for Philanthropy Studies was established at the International Islamic Charitable Organization in 2017. It aims to develop performance and raise the level of quality in the charitable sector, and support the decision-making process by providing accurate data while adhering to international scientific standards. It specializes in the following:

General Manager
He has been the Director General of the Charitable Organization since 2016. He is active in the field of voluntary humanitarian work and has extensive practical experience in the oil sector. He spent (28) years of his professional life moving between a number of responsibilities in Kuwaiti oil sector companies, including (18) years in leadership positions, as Deputy Managing Director of the Petroleum Corporation, Deputy CEO of the National Petroleum Company, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Olefins Company.

Dr. Abdullah Mutawaq Al-Mutawaq
Chairman of the Board of Directors
He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable Organization since 2010, and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations since 2017. He previously served as Advisor to the Amiri Diwan, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers from 2003 to 2006, and Minister of Justice in 2006.

Dr. Abdullah Mutawaq Al-Mutawaq
Chairman of the Board of Directors
He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable Organization since 2010, and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations since 2017. يشغل منصب نائب مدير عام الهيئة الخيرية منذ عام 2017، حاصل على عدة دبلومات مهنية في عدد من التخصصات أهمها: القيادة الاجتماعية، والموارد البشرية، والبنوك والمصارف الإسلامية، وعلى شهادة الزمالة في إدارة المؤسسات غير الربحية من إسبانيا، مهتم بالعمل الخيري والتقنية والإبداع والتطوير وتوثيق التجارب، حاصل على بكاوريوس الشريعة، تخصص أصول الفقه بمعدل امتياز من جامعة الكويت.

Abdul Rahman Abdul Aziz Al-Mutawa
Deputy Director General - Center Supervisor
He has held the position of Deputy Director General of the Charitable Organization since 2017. He holds several professional diplomas in various specializations, most notably: social leadership, human resources, and Islamic banking and finance. He also holds a fellowship in non-profit organization management from Spain. He is interested in charitable work, technology, creativity, development, and documenting experiences. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sharia in the Fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence with distinction from Kuwait University.

Dr. Sarah Yahya Abdel Mohsen
Studies specialist
Specializing in designing social research, using scientific tools to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and also using specialized software. (مثل: Nvivo, Talkwalker) في Social media content analysis, and she has a number of published scientific articles and peer-reviewed studies. She has also presented a number of training courses in content analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis. حاصلة على درجة الدكتوراه في علم الاجتماع الرقمي.

Dr. Reda El-Sayed El-Ashmawy
Center Director
He has been the Director of the Center since 2017. He is an expert in the field of studies and business development, and holds several accredited professional certificates, including: Professional Project Management in the Development Sector (PMD), Project Management (PMP), Risk Management (RMP), and Business Analysis (PBA). He is a member of the American Project Management Institute (PMI). He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). He has several published research papers and books. He obtained a PhD in Literature with First Class Honours in 2014.

Abdullah Muhammad Abu Zaid
Administrative coordinator
Over 12 years of experience in administrative coordination and executive secretarial work, specializing in social media management, photography, and graphic design. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Studies.

Dr. Reda El-Sayed El-Ashmawy
Center Director
يشغل منصب مدير المركز منذ عام 2017، خبير في مجال الدراسات وتطوير الأعمال، وحاصل على عدة شهادات مهنية معتمدة منها: إدارة المشاريع الاحترافية في القطاع التنموي (PMD)، وإدارة المشاريع الاحترافية (PMP)، وإدارة المخاطر الاحترافية (RMP)، وتحليل الأعمال الاحترافية (PBA)، عضو المعهد الأمريكي لإدارة المشروعات (PMI)، والمعهد الكندي لتحليل الأعمال (IIBA)، له العديد من المؤلفات المنشورة، حاصل على دكتوراه الآداب بمرتبة الشرف الأولى عام 2014.

حاصلة على درجة الدكتوراه في علم الاجتماع الرقمي، ومتخصصة في تصميم البحوث الاجتماعية، واستخدام الأدوات العلمية في جمع وتحليل البيانات الكمية والكيفية، كما تقوم باستخدام برامج السوفت ويير (مثل: Nvivo, Talkwalker) لتحليل محتوى مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، ولها العديد من المقالات العلمية المنشورة والدراسات المحكمة، كما قدمت عددًا من الدورات التدريبية في تحليل المحتوى، والتحليل الكمي والكيفي.

حاصل على بكالوريوس الدراسات السياحية، خبرة أكثر من 12 عامًا بأعمال التنسيق الإداري والسكرتارية التنفيذية، ومتخصص في إدارة مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، والتصوير الفوتوغرافي، والتصميم الجرافيكي.

This is achieved by providing objective studies and solid research, and presenting them to decision-makers, enabling them to accurately interpret reality and accurately anticipate the future. For this reason, the Global Center for the Study of Philanthropy was established, launching it with a new, advanced vision that achieves its objectives in this field.

Since its early beginnings, the International Islamic Charitable Organization and its founders have placed great importance on research and studies within the scope of their work, believing they represent a rich and essential resource for decision-makers. This importance was reflected in the establishment of the Global Center for Charitable Work Studies, and the provision of the necessary material and human resources to enable it to fulfill its mission of serving and developing charitable and humanitarian work and achieving its goals.

The launch of a global center for charitable work studies with an ambitious vision that is summarized in being a diverse global reference in studies of charitable and humanitarian work, with its mission represented in: “Serving charitable and humanitarian work and developing it through specialized studies.” The center has currently reached more than (45) titles for scientific research.Opinion polls and situation assessments, along with a number of monthly publication series such as the "Athar" newsletter and "Knowledge Abstracts," in addition to dozens of internal publications to support decisions in the charitable field, as well as activities related to research and studies in the charitable sector.

Under the slogan: "A Scientific Vision for a Charitable Mission," the Global Center for Charitable Work Studies was launched to fulfill its mission of serving charitable and humanitarian work and developing it through specialized research and studies. The center aims to raise the level of performance and quality in this vital field and support decision-making within it.By providing relevant information in a timely manner, anticipating its future in a way that serves the beneficiary communities, and spreading the culture of charitable and voluntary work among segments of society.
