Launching “MANEH” Initiative, to maximize the impact of charitable resources
The International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) has launched “MANEH” initiative, based on its strategic vision for the years 2020-2024, which stipulated its commitment to work, in order to maximize the impact of charitable resources through qualitative partnerships with charitable work institutions in the world, in order to empower people in the world to achieve the greatest economic and cultural impact.
The Director General, Eng. Bader Al-Sumait, during the work of the technical orientation workshop for the partners within the Kuwaiti humanitarian initiative, “MANEH…Partners in Giving“, has provided an extensive explanation of the Organization’s strategic plan and its ambitious goals of introducing Islamic culture of middle stance, economic empowerment for those in need. As well as providing educational and qualification opportunities that achieve qualitative outputs, and build internal capabilities of partner field institutions.
He also referred to the IICO’s strategic initiatives in the areas of cultural empowerment, educational empowerment, economic empowerment, the beneficiary groups (students, the poor, the needy, graduate students, the talented and executive partner institutions), and the core values are (moderation, perfection, proficiency, effective communication, and governance(.
The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between major donors of charitable institutions in Kuwait and abroad, to maximize the impact of the donors’ funds, and to rationalize charitable resources and charity spending alike, through activating the joint initiative, promoting a positive formula for promoting the type of local targeted communities.
The Director of the Project Development Department at the Organization, Eng./ Sami Zain Al-Abidin, has offered the donor partner’s policies and duties, the implementing field partner’s policies and duties, the policies on project types and scope, project approval policies, contracting, implementation, and finalization.
Furthermore, he pointed out that priority is given to integrated projects, such as integrated development villages that contain housing units, infrastructure, mosques, schools, health centers, endowment and production units, such as markets, vocational training centers, artesian wells, vocational centers, educational and project centers, and Islamic cultivating centers.
Zain Al-Abidin also pointed out the need for the submitted project proposals to serve one or more of the strategic objectives of introducing Islamic culture of middle stance, economic empowerment for those in need, and providing educational and rehabilitation opportunities that achieve qualitative outputs.
The IICO seeks to achieve a distinguished and influential position in its business environment, while creating an internal environment characterized by effective institutional communication. As well as a work environment that attracts expertise and specialized competencies and strives towards building strategic partnerships in accordance with the mission, core fundamental values, vision, and strategic objectives that
focus on building the human being and empowering him economically, culturally and educationally, in order to have a positive impact in the community.
Since its inception, the IICO has been keen to lead the collective initiatives of the charitable institutions in the Islamic world, to remain, as the first founders wanted it, a gathering place for good people, for providing services for all humanity.
In addition, the initiative, which was attended by representatives of donor charities, field partners and team members of the donor initiative, is consistent and integrated with the mission that characterized the State of Kuwait as a global center for humanitarian action. As well as a country that topped the list of the most generous countries, according to the statements of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Kuwaiti humanitarian giving, free of any inhumane prejudices, is considered to be the strongest support for many societies in their development process, in order to overcome poverty, ignorance, and disease, as well as mitigate the suffering of millions of people.
