In light of its strategic vision that aims at providing quality educational opportunities, the International Islamic Charity Organization has participated in the graduation ceremony of 40 male and female pioneer students as a part of the activity of the International Academy for Leadership and Development in Istanbul. As the program aims at enabling Iraqi youth scientifically and educationally through advanced qualification, education, and development programs.
The graduation ceremony of the fifth class of “Al Amal Pioneers” from Istinye University has been held as part of Al Amal program for scholarships, with the attendance of the Chairman of the International Academy for Leadership and Development, Dr. Moaaz Salem Abdulrahman, the President of the University, Erkan Anbish, the previous Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sport, Dr. Ahmed Riyad. As well as a group of academic people, guardians, and those who are interested in education.
The Director General of the Charity Organization, Eng. Bader Al Sumait, described Al Amal University Scholarships Program saying that it is one of the ambitious qualitative programs that aims at building youth and developing their abilities to be effective role models in their societies. He also confirmed the Organization’s support for the efforts exerted by the International Academy for Leadership and Development describing it as the house of experience and knowledge in the field of youth building and empowerment, and the qualification of institutions working in youth energies sector.
The International Islamic Charity Organization has started its partnership with the International Academy for Leadership and Development in 2017. In this context, Eng. Al Sumait said, “Since then, a concrete development has been noticed in the performance and programs of the Organization, and we are looking forward, as part of our common goals, to achieving more success in this vital aspect, namely, preparing our sons and daughters for the future. As well as improving their intellectual and skillful experience and paying special attention to the talented ones who are able to serve their countries and make positive influence in their professional and societal cycles”.
He continued, “Our participation in the outcomes of Al Amal Program for university scholarships is part of our distinct fruitful partnership with the Academy that has been honored by supporting the qualification and training of 300 students in a variety of scholarship programs, caring for learners, qualifying the staffs and leaders of civil society organizations.
As for the strategic vision of the Charity Organization, Al Sumait noted that the Organization is motivated in this file by its main conviction that education is the key for making positive change in societies, and the way of knowledge towards progress and advancement. As well as one of the aspects of its strategic plan that aims at providing suitable qualifying and educational opportunities that can lead to qualitative outcomes among learners, especially postgraduate students so they can positively influence their societies.
For this purpose, the Charity Organization seeks to provide scholarships and education programs that meet students’ needs, and develop their abilities as well as education curricula according to the need of labor markets. In addition, the Organization seeks to establish sustainable educational institutions in vulnerable regions, and support the efforts of educational institutions, especially in emergency circumstances, to overcome difficulties in education.
In this context, Al Sumait highlighted the strategic initiatives of the Organization in its educational program, as he referred to “Nobough” Initiative that seeks to provide qualitative educational programs that cover essential needs in the educational sector, and build training and educational programs that qualify students for the future. As well as develop advanced scientific curricula that suit the requirements of the labor market, and present programs to develop teachers’ abilities.
He also explained that “Nogoum” Initiative aims at developing a wide variety of programs to care for brilliant students, qualify them in their scientific disciplines, and provide them with basic life skills. In addition, the initiative presents continuous follow-up and support for all students either financially or morally to enhance their learning abilities.
Furthermore, he said that “Care” or “Reaaya” Initiative seeks to build a cooperative network with universities all over the world according to the courses of providing scholarships in qualitative scientific disciplines, and coordinating with local and international grantors to provide support for brilliant scholarship students and help them start small projects.
He added, “The initiative also seeks to cooperate with international universities to present full or partial scholarships in some disciplines, and create qualifying programs for scholarship students in cultural, social, and sports fields, and others.
As for the outcomes of these initiatives, Al Sumait said, the initiatives have produced, in 2020 and 2021, more than 120 projects in 53 countries that benefited 57,160 students, teachers, professors, and administrators in the educational field. He also said that the projects varied to include providing scholarships in basic learning stages, secondary stage, university, and postgraduate stages in needy societies, sponsoring teachers and professors, equipping sustainable educational institutions with labs, classes, and offices, building and completing education institutions, launching movable schools and associated training programs, and supporting vocational education projects, etc.
He continued, “We seek through our educational program at the IICO and its strategic initiatives to achieve the desired impact consisted in forming and building promising leaders who are positively influential in their societies. In this way, we share the goals of the Academy and its qualitative and educational programs.
Then he thanked the Academy staff and management for their vital role in preparing and empowering youth, he also congratulated the graduates wishing them success in their scientific, professional, and life march as well as success in supporting the development process in their countries.
Moreover, Al Sumait looked forward to reinforcing these partnerships in educational field as a part of the strategic vision of the Charity Organization that aims at building the human and developing his abilities in the context of continuous learning and experience acquisition, and consequently benefiting countries and building societies.
Al Amal Grant, adopted by the Academy, provides full care for accepted students by sending them abroad to complete university preliminary and higher studies. As it begins with selecting competent and needy students from afflicted families and communities, then they are enrolled in prestigious universities and they are placed in student houses within an inspiring environment. The students are provided with psychological and educational qualification programs, in addition to leadership and administrative training. In other words, students are given experience through practical training. The accepted students undertake to remain excellent during the study period and come back to their country after completing their study.
The International Academy for Leadership and Development is sponsoring more than 200 carefully chosen students from 7,000 applicants.

Al Sumait said addressing the family of the Academy, “If Allah, the Almighty, has utilized us, the grantors, to serve His religion and His servants, and if He has facilitated for us the means of charity in its different forms. He also has chosen you to be change makers in the youth life, and has paved the way for accepted graduates, among ten thousand of graduates, to receive this priceless opportunity of distinct education, and specialized qualification in several life skills within an environment characterized by beautiful meanings of fraternity, familiarization, and compassion.

Sponsorship of Kuwait’s Leadership has the greatest impact on consolidating Charitable Work
Al Sumait has expressed feelings of gratitude for Kuwait’s leadership and people indicating that this country with its small area would never fill that spacious field of international humanitarian work, unless Allah has planted the love of goodness and giving within the instinct and hearts of its people, and has guided its leadership to make charity one of its main priorities. He also added that this generous sponsorship had the greatest impact on consolidating Kuwaiti charity and improving its progress in different levels and fields.
In addition, he said that the different institutions of the country and their charitable counterparts work together within a consistent humanitarian community as one team, a professional orchestra playing one symphony.

Turkey, the Destination of Every Ambitious Learner for High-Quality Education
Al Sumait has presented words of gratitude for Turkey for its unlimited efforts in the field of education saying that Turkey has become a destination for every ambitious student for high-quality education.
He added, “This development is not a sheer coincidence, nor the result of circumstances imposed by the area and its crises, it is the result of a professional systematic work that aims at developing education, in general, and higher education, in particular.
He continued, “That is why the results were amazing during the last twenty years. Th
e number of Turkish universities has increased from 76 in 2002 to 217 in 2021. As these universities have been qualified for several advanced positions among lists of universities that have distinct academic performance in the world.
Al Sumait said that the annual budget allocated for Turkish universities has been raised from 2.5 billion liras to 36 billion liras during the same period, indicating that by the end of last year 2021, the Turkish universities included 8 million and 400 thousand students against one million and 600 thousand students in 2002. The matter that made Turkey the first in Europe in terms of the number of university students.

ttom line, Al-Sumait said, “The Turkish universities ha
ve opened their gates for every education seeker from the whole world, and they have facilitated enrollment in different academic disciplines, indicating that the Turkish government presents not less than 4 thousand free scholarships yearly for foreign students.
He continued, by the end of 2021, Turkish universities have hosted 226 thousand students, and they seek to increase that number to 300 thousand students by the end of 2023.
Al-Sumait also said that the Turkish government pays great attention to education, and provides its opportunity for every hard worker. Finally, he expressed gratitude again for this country and its people for showing warm hospitality for millions of learners, immigrants, and refugees in a magnificent human manner that reminds us of the fraternity of Al-Muhajreen and Al-Ansar in the early time of Islam.
