Welcome to the International Center for Charitable Studies

The Global Center for philanthropy Studies was established at the International Islamic Charitable Organization in 2017, with the aim of developing performance, raising the level of quality in the charity sector, and supporting the decision-making process by making available accurate data while adhering to international scientific standards, and is specialized in the following:

The Global Center for Philanthropy Studies held a workshop entitled “The Phenomenon of Surplus Food Waste and Ways to Benefit from It” in order to announce the new publication on the phenomenon of surplus food waste at the household level in the State of Kuwait in cooperation with Mabaret Nemati and the Hifz Al-Nima Initiative on 16/02/2023.

Dr. Abdullah Maatouq Al-Maatouq
Chairman of Board of Directors

He has received his doctorate degree in Comparative Jurisprudence from Glasgow University in the United Kingdom, and he has worked in the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers in the capacity of Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of Justice. He also worked as the head of the Islamic Studies department in the College of Basic Education at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET). He also held the position of an advisor at the Amiri Diwan in the State of Kuwait and was appointed as a Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations from 2017 to date.

The knowledge structure in any field; The first step towards a conscious and rational start, by providing objective studies and sober research, and presenting them in the hands of the decision-maker, which gives him the ability to correctly read the reality, and accurately anticipate the future; For this reason, the International Center for the Study of Charitable Work was established and launched with a new, developed vision that achieves the goals entrusted to it in this field. 

Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Al-Mutawa
Deputy General Manager - Global Center for Philanthropy Studies Supervisor

He holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Sharia, specializing in the Principles of Jurisprudence from Kuwait University, and holds several professional diplomas in a number of specializations: Social Leadership, Human Resources, Banking, and Islamic Banking. He also holds a fellowship certificate in the Management of Non-Profit Institutions from Spain. He loves humanitarian work, technology, creativity, development, and documentation of experiences.

Ph.D. in digital sociology, specializing in the design of social research, and using of scientific tools in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, she also uses software programs to analyze the content of social networking sites (like: Nvivo, Talkwalker, etc). She has many published scientific articles and refereed studies, she also provided several training courses in social media Content analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Administrative Assistant

He holds a Bachelor of Tourism Studies, from Alexandria University, with more than 12 years of experience in administrative coordination and executive secretarial work, and specializes in social media management, photography, and graphic design.

From studies, opinion polls, and assessment of the situation, with a number of monthly publication series such as “Athar” newsletter, and “Knowledge Abstracts”, in addition to dozens of internal publications to support decision-making in the charitable field, as well as activities related to research and studies in the charitable sector.
